pets
There was never much difference between pets and
domestic animals to me.
My Grandparents from my Father side were always
keeping cows for milk, and horses to pull a cart.
Summer holidays at their house was a heaven to me.
I just loved ALL animals they had.
And beside that, I was always collecting (to Moms
horror) all the puppies and kittens I could find
abandoned on the street.

A vet that used to take care of my animals once said I have an
impressive Zoo at my home. It must have looked like that to him,
for he specialized in small animals (pets), and I had quite amount
of goats and sheep, rabbits and poultry at that time.
It was all a bit mixed up, for animals from barn could be found in
the house sometimes. My sheep dog often came with me to the
kitchen to have a bite of something good, and I used to keep
chicken in a hall if there was cold weather outside. Cats and
kittens (about 15 of them altogether) just followed me wherever
I went. My kids used to take their pet bunny (great chinchilla
female rabbit in fact) to their room and play with her.
It was kind of house that would give creeps to some women...
to my Mother I am sure... but all my "pets" were very clean
indeed... and I was SO happy among them.
I miss them very much...

I got him for protection, and
he was just a right choice.
I think I could never again love
a dog that much... for above all he
was a loving, gentle Friend. There
are so few like him on this world.

This buck I raised from the kid,
although everyone told me I was
mad and what on earth do I need
a buck for... But he was such a
sweet little kid, and we got
along just fine... well almost..

Pupy, of course, is my special
pet. But here is another... a bit
unusual for me, although it is very
common among men anywhere.
Little Opel Corsa 1000, light and
fast. I used to call it The Bee.

Here is not a half of my herd
for I had to leave all the grown
ones inside, or I would have to
run after them and there would be
no photo at all.
Even some kids I could not let out.

Little stray we found while
visiting the Northern parts of
Croatia. It drove with us in a car
all the way to Drage.
We had to leave it and it is a
neighbours cat now.
